‘Harry’s Magic pockets…The Circus’ is the first in a series of children’s books by author Steve Pearson.

In this book Steve has called upon the help of Portsmouth and England goalkeeper David James who has illustrated the book throughout. David has hand drawn and coloured all the illustrations to give it a unique look. The easy option would have been to use a computer but his illustrations give the book a childlike feel and a certain charm.

The books are aimed at five and six year old readers and tell the story of our hero Harry and his fantastic adventures.

After finding an item in his magic pockets Harry and his friend Teigan hold hands, close their eyes and are transported to another world.
In the first book they find themselves in a circus big top were they learn to be a clown and a tightrope walker under the guiding hand of the ringmaster.

This hardback book is landscape in design and full colour throughout and would be a fine acquisition to any Childs library.

Look out for the second book in the series ‘Harry’s Magic Pockets…The Football Hero’ which will be released at Christmas with two more adventures to follow.
